Brian’s background in the Spanish language goes back to his formative years when he moved to the Caribbean with his father. He learned Spanish in a native-speaking environment and continued his studies throughout high school and college.
He also spent some time as a teen traveling in México with the Catholic church. There, he volunteered as a translator for a team of doctors offering medical assistance to impoverished communities. Most recently, Brian has spent the last 10 years teaching Spanish to middle school and high school students.
The gift of a second language acquired as a young child is one of the Brian’s biggest motivating factors on why he teaches.
“I love that I can pass that gift along to others so they can experience the same rewards and fulfillment,” says Brian. “It’s such a joy to see when students take those significant steps in their journey through developing language skills.”
