Marika Liebman

Marika moved to Portland from Ames, Iowa to attend Lewis & Clark College, where she received a degree in International Political Economy and Latin American Studies, with a focus on United States immigration history and policy.
She is a former participant of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program and the Liberation Literacy group at Columbia River Correctional Institution in Northeast Portland, and has spent time in Ecuador as well as the US-Mexico borderlands. Prior to her employment at Mt. Scott, she worked under the Office of Refugee Resettlement’s Division of Unaccompanied Children’s Services at Morrison Child & Family Services in Portland.
In her free time, Marika enjoys sharing meals with friends and family, reading, listening to podcasts, and exploring neighborhoods and parks around the city.
