Gabrielle Haber
Gabrielle joined the Mt. Scott team in the summer of 2019 and is excited to contribute her skills in nonprofit finance and administration to support this vibrant community. Most recently she worked in fundraising and communications for environmental education, but her accounting and administrative experience spans a wide variety of for-profit and non-profit organizations, in both staff and volunteer roles. She loves a cleanly-reconciled account, a good spreadsheet, and using data to help tell the story behind successful and evolving programs.
Gabrielle was drawn to Mt. Scott Learning Center’s (MSLC) commitment to create an inclusive, student-centered high school experience for each MSLC attendee. She believes that a collective commitment to rethinking the assumptions that our institutions are based on is necessary to close the opportunity gap and achieve a more equitable and just society.
A native New Englander, she has long been firmly rooted in the Pacific Northwest, and now has a young daughter who will grow up as a native Portlander. Besides playing with the little one, in her free time Gabrielle enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and visiting farmers markets, and is on a continuing mission to hike all of Oregon’s wilderness areas.
